The Kangalaksiorvik River is an approximately 52 km long tributary of the Labrador Sea in the north of Labrador in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador .

River course

The Kangalaksiorvik River flows through part of the Torngat Mountains National Park . It has its origins in a nameless 610  m high lake in the Torngat Mountains near the provincial border with Québec . Initially it flows in a northerly direction. Between the river kilometers 40 and 47 it flows through a nameless lake, which represents a river broadening. At river kilometer 25, the Kangalaksiorvik River turns east. On the lower reaches are the lakes Upper Kangalaksiorvik Lake and Lower Kangalaksiorvik Lake . The Kangalaksiorvik River eventually flows into the head end of the Kangalaksiorvik Fjord . The catchment area covers an area of ​​654 km².
