Kanilai Cultural Festival

The Kanilai Cultural Festival also Kanilai International Cultural Festival (KICF) is the name of a cultural festival that is celebrated annually in the West African state of Gambia .

The two-week festival in Kanilai and the surrounding area takes place around the time of President Jammeh's birthday (May 25), from May 21 to July 7 in 2010. The first Kanilai Cultural Festival was celebrated in 2001. National and international artists from the region take part in the cultural festival. In 2006 there were reports of 50,000 participants.

The guest in 2010 was Jermaine Jackson , who gave a concert at the Independence Stadium in Bakau . Other guests included Rockmond Dunbar , Chaz Guest and Tichina Arnold .
