Kanjobal , also Q'anjob'al, is a Mayan language that is mainly spoken by around 140,000 to 200,000 indigenous people , the Q'anjob'al of the same name on the western plateau of Guatemala.

In the 2002 census of Guatemala, 139,830 people (1.4%) said Q'anjob'al was their mother tongue; 159,030 people (1.4%) identified themselves as Q'anjob'al . The Kanjobal speakers focus on three municipalities in the Huehuetenango department : Santa Eulalia (Jolom Konob), San Juan Ixcoy (Yich K'ox), San Pedro Soloma (Tz'uluma ') y Santa Cruz Barillas (Yal Motx).

Chuj , Acateco , Jacalteco and Tojolabal are considered to be other languages ​​of the Q'anjob'al tribe .
