The canton Fritzlar was an administrative unit in the Kassel district of the Fulda department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The city of Fritzlar in today's Schwalm-Eder district was the main town of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace . The canton comprised six villages and one city, was inhabited by 4,966 people, and had an area of ​​0.86 square miles .
