Kantosi (people)

The Kantosi are a people in Ghana who are also called Yadasi , Kantonsi , Yare , Yarsi or Dagaare-Diuola .

The Kantosi live in smaller settlement areas in northern Ghana. Immediate neighbors are the Buli and the Paasaal .

Some Kantosi live in the Sandema District others live in Kpaliwongo. There are other settlements near Wa , in Navrongo , Bolgatanga , Nalerigu, and Kpaliwogo. The Kantosi refer to Kpaliwongo, a village southeast of Funsi in the Upper West Region, as their place of origin.

Her mother tongue is the Kantodi .
