Cape Davidson is a cape that marks the southernmost section of the Mackenzie Peninsula and the western side of the entrance to Wilton Bay in the western part of Laurie Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands .
It was mapped in 1903 during the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (1902-1904) under the direction of William Speirs Bruce . Bruce named the cape after Robert Davidson (* 1861), member of the expedition and first mate on the ship Scotia .
