The Cape Fligely ( Russian Мыс Флигели Mys Fligeli ) is the northernmost point of Eurasia . The cape named after the Austrian cartographer August von Fligely , which was first reached in 1874 by the Austro-Hungarian North Pole Expedition under the direction of Julius Payer and Carl Weyprecht , is located on Rudolf Island and geographically belongs to Franz Josef Land .
