Cape MacDonald is a point of land towering up to 435 m on the Black Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It forms the south side of the entrance to Odom Inlet .
Participants of the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered the cape in 1940. It is named after J. E. MacDonald, secretary of the service.
