The Cape Moneta ( Spanish Cabo Moneta ) is a cape on the north coast of Laurie Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It limits the entrance from Jessie Bay to Sheila Cove to the west .
Argentine scientists named it after the meteorologist José Manuel Moneta (1900-1973), who was involved in Argentine expeditions to the South Orkney Islands in 1923, 1925, 1927 and 1925.
