The Cape Spencer is a frozen headland on the East Antarctic Georg V. Coast . On the east side it marks the seaward end of a depression that is occupied by the Ninnis Glacier .
It was discovered during the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson . He named it after the Australian anthropologist and ethnologist Walter Baldwin Spencer (1860–1929).
