The Cape Timblón is a striking rock cape at the north end of Snow Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It marks the western limit of the northern entrance to Morton Strait .
It is probably named after Carlos Timblón, captain of the Argentine sealer San Juan Nepomuceno , who was the first ship to call the South Shetland Islands to hunt seals in the season from 1819 to 1820 .
