The Cape Wood is a cape on the east coast of Flat Iceland before Pennell Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It marks the western end of the entrance to Pressure Bay , a side bay of Robertson Bay .

It was discovered in January 1841 by the British polar explorer James Clark Ross during his Antarctic expedition (1839–1843). Ross named the cape after Charles Wood, 1st Viscount Halifax (1800–1885), then First Secretary of the British Admiralty .
