Bürgle Chapel (Dornbirn)
This Roman Catholic chapel on the Bürgle (also: "Bürgler Kappele") is in the Bürgle district of the Dornbirn municipality in Hatlerdorf in Vorarlberg . She is pastorally from the parish of the parish church to St. Sebastian looks after. The chapel thus belongs to the dean's office in Dornbirn in the diocese of Feldkirch .
history
The chapel was built around 1880 by the residents of the Bürgle and the Upper Mühlebach instead of an older wayside shrine located nearby (see inscription in the chapel). According to the chronicle of the parish Hatlerdorf, the population of Dornbirn made a pilgrimage there during the plague in 1628.
The chapel was renovated by volunteers in 1966, 1976, 1998 and 2009.

The structure ( 543 m above sea level ) is about 2 km as the crow flies from the center of Dornbirn. The church building on the way to the Bürgle district in the "Rank" plot does not have a house number.
Building
The single-storey chapel is a very simple stone building free-standing on all sides with a gable height of about 4 m (total height with bell ridge about 6 m). The chapel occupies an area of around 6 m². It is a building with a rectangular basic shape and south-west / north-east orientation. There are bed chairs for four people.
The simple door and the square, squat, bell ridge treads open on all sides (visible bell) with a curved pointed hood on the gable roof is located to the southwest. The bell was cast by the Grassmayr bell foundry in Feldkirch in 1884.
The gable roof is covered with plain tiles and the bell ridge is hammered in with sheet copper. The building itself is largely plastered in white .
The prayer room and the chancel are not separated from each other.
Furnishing
The decor is simple with a painting of the Holy Family . The two prayer benches are made of lacquered fir wood and are not decorated with carvings.
