The Herdt Chapel is located in the Herdt district of the Rheindahlen-Land district of Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ), Herdt 39.

The building was built in the 18th century. It was entered under No. H 033 on June 2, 1987 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

The chapel is on the edge of a small wood in Herdt. The half-timbered chapel with plastered and painted white brick infills stands over a slightly protruding base. The half-timbering is characterized by lying compartments and thin wood (economy framework), the three-sided choir closure has no recognizable half-timbering any more.

Access is from the street side through a central axially arranged wooden door, above which a figure of Christ dating to the 19th century stands in a niche in the gable field . Access is flanked by two stone tablets with the names of the two world wars, fallen from the Honnschaft . The far projecting gable roof covered with Rhineland tiles is hipped on three sides at the choir. It has a small roof turret with a cross.
