Previous construction

Ruin of the previous building

A previous building from the beginning of the 17th century is mentioned in a visitation protocol from 1643. The church with a retracted choir closed on three sides had an almost square nave with a length of 6 meters and a width of 5.8 meters. It was destroyed by an avalanche. Its ruins are a little below today's church.

Today's construction

Interior, view of the entrance

The current chapel was built at the beginning of the 19th century. The nave and choir are covered with a rib-less cross vault, the nave also with a wooden barrel. The ship is 5.5 meters long and 5 meters wide.

The late Renaissance altar is said to come from the first chapel. It shows the Mother of God in a shrine, to the left and right of her are the two Johns. The frame resembles the Sebastian altar built in 1647 in the parish church. In the pediment stands the youthful teaching Christ, on top God the Father and two angels. The tabernacle dates from around 1680.

On the wall there is a large engraving with a picture of St. Ignatius by Johann Georg Wolfgang from Augsburg.

The inscription on the bell reads: JOH. BAPTISTA AND HANS GEORG ERNST GOS MICH 1626. The Glockenjoch dates from 1867.
