Chapel of Our Lady of Altötting
The Chapel of Our Lady of Altötting in Linz is a Roman Catholic Chapel of Grace , which was built for a copy of the Altötting image of grace . The chapel is a listed building.
To the east of the former Ursuline monastery and today's Ursuline courtyard , an octagonal chapel with a curved, stepped bell roof was built in 1695 in the former monastery garden and today's OK-Platz. The dome room has a remarkable stucco decoration by Girolamo Alfieri (?) From 1695. The vault painting from 1695 shows the life of Mary as an iconographic program: in the crown with the coronation of Mary , in oval fields the birth of the Virgin Mary , the Annunciation of the Lord , the offering of Jesus in the temple, the reception of the Virgin Mary Heaven , Mary's death , meeting at the Golden Gate, the passage to the Temple of Mary and the Immaculate Conception .
