Wülferode Chapel
The Wülferoder Chapel in Wülferode is a church building of the Evangelical Lutheran St. John parish Bemerode-Kronsberg Wülferode and the chapel community Wülferode in Hanover.
history
In 1474 a Marien chapel was mentioned in a document on the Wülferoder Hof. The current chapel was built in 1756 in half-timbered style. The bell dates from 1644 and was created by the Hanoverian bell founder Ludolf Siegfriedt . The baptismal font and the altarpiece were taken from the old chapel and date from 1661 and 1677, respectively. The chapel offers space for around 100 people and is used regularly for weddings and concerts. From 2005 to 2006 the chapel was extensively restored.
