history

The first chapel was built around 1700. The paint manufacturer Vogel von Bregenz had the chapel renovated at his own expense in return for an access road. The newly renovated chapel was inaugurated on October 8, 1949. In July 2012 the bell ridge was hammered in with a new copper roof.

Chapel building

The chapel was built in 1950 in place of a previous building and is located on the old road to the Losenpass (today's L48, Bödelestraße , passes about 30 meters from it). It is a building with an approximately rectangular basic shape and northeast / southwest orientation with a protruding roof over the main entrance. The gable roof with multiple layers of wood - shingle covered. The bell-shaped roof turret with a gable-pointed helmet is covered with copper. The bell ridge with a bell is to the northeast, the small altar to the southwest.

The chapel building is around 6 meters long, around 3.5 meters wide and 4.5 meters high (excluding the bell ridge). The walls are plastered white . Around four to six people can sit on the side of the chapel. Access on the northeast side is through a simple wooden door with an octagonal viewing window. To the left and right of the long walls there is a small window for natural lighting of the interior.

In the interior there is a flat wooden panel ceiling. The bell in the bell ridge can be operated by hand from the covered access area. Above the protruding porch is a carved wooden statue depicting St. Florian represents (with lance, clearing a house) represents.

At the Losenpass (Bödele) itself there is still a chapel donated by Otto Hämmerle and built in 1905/1906 in honor of Our Lady (Chapel of Saint Mary).

Furnishing

The interior of the chapel is dominated by a floor-to-ceiling wooden altar with a few decorations and a statue of Our Lady. The floor of the chapel is a simple concrete screed .
