The Kaplaneikirche Niederthai is located in Niederthai in the municipality of Umhausen in the Ötztal in the state of Tyrol . The Roman Catholic Chaplain Church , consecrated to St. Anthony of Padua , belongs to the Silz deanery in the Diocese of Innsbruck . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

According to the inscription, the church was built in 1682 and consecrated in 1698. In 1965 there was a restoration.

architecture

The baroque hall building with a choir with a triangular closure is in a cemetery. The tower at the head of the choir has an octagonal top and wears an onion helmet. The windows of the church are arched, there is a circular window on the entrance side.

The interior of the church has a four-bay nave with a choir set off by a belt arch, under lancet barrel vaults on a pilaster structure. The vault borders are accentuated with stucco ribs as a leaf bar. The deep gallery shows stucco decor from the construction period. The paintings in stucco medallions are by Franz Xaver Pizzinini 1944 and from 1965.

Furnishing

The high altar from the end of the 17th century shows the altarpiece of St. Anthony of Padua in front of the Madonna and carries the statues Martin and Nicholas from the first half of the 18th century. The tabernacle from the third quarter of the 18th century rests on an antependium with baroque carving and the relief of St. Antony.

The side altar from the late 18th century shows the altarpiece crucifix and the statues of Mary and John.

The pulpit is from the late 18th century.
