Karate High School is an American post-hardcore band from San Francisco , California . Paul McGuire is the lead singer and producer.

history

Karate High School was founded by Paul McGuire together with Ray Bautista. McGuire composes all the songs and writes their lyrics.

The band released their debut album called Arcade Rock on March 21, 2006 on EVO Recodings. Her second album The League of Tomorrow was released on September 4, 2007. In 2009 her third album called Invaders (Eyeball Records) was released.

McGuire produced both albums and played all of the instruments on The League of Tomorrow himself. For performances, the band's line-up changed over the years, with various musicians taking on the roles of drummer, bassist and guitarist.

style

Her style is described as an "aggressive mix of pop-punk, post-hardcore and chiptune "; the band themselves call their style "Arcade Rock", which is where the name of their debut album comes from.
