Karachi Center District is an administrative district in Pakistan in Sindh Province . The district forms part of the city of Karachi .
The district has an area of 69 km² and according to the 2017 census 2,971,626 inhabitants. The population density is 43,067 inhabitants / km² and is one of the highest in the world.
location
The district is located in the south of Sindh Province, which is located in southeastern Pakistan. It forms the central part of the mega city of Karachi.

history
In 2000 the district was abolished and Karachi became a single district of Sindh. On July 11, 2011, the Sindh government restored the Karachi Center District
Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017 the population grew by 1.41% annually. There are 1,543,950 men, 1,427,349 women and 327 transgender people in 538,983 households , resulting in a gender ratio of 108.2 men per 100 women, which is a common surplus for Pakistan.
