Karen DeBattista is a Maltese singer and songwriter .

Life

Karen DeBattista took piano and singing lessons at the age of seven, and in 2010 she joined Joseph Calleja 's children's choir. She also took part in competitions such as Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza , Summer Hit Song Contest or Ghanja tal-Poplu , which she won with the song Jien Ma Nahdimx . At the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2012, the Maltese preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , she was background singer for the act Francesca Borg, where she finished eleventh. In 2014 DeBattista took part himself with the song 12, Baker Street and became one of the 20 semi-finalists. The semi-final of the preliminary decision took place on November 21, 2014. She qualified for the final and finished 14th and last place with zero points.

Karen DeBattista is now studying art at the Malta College of Arts Science and Technology .
