Karen Schacht (born July 29, 1900 in Niederlößnitz , † October 20, 1987 in Kassel ) was a German painter .

Life

Karen Schacht attended Johann Walter-Kurau's painting school in Berlin . Before the outbreak of the Second World War, she moved to Ückeritz and became part of the Usedom artist group, which had formed around the painters Otto Manigk , Herbert Wegehaupt and Otto Niemeyer-Holstein . In 1953 Karen Schacht moved to Kassel, and her pictures were confiscated in the GDR.
