Karen Witt

Karen Witt (* around 1962) is an English table tennis player with an active career in the 1970s and 1980s. She won the English championship in 1983 and gold three times at the Commonwealth Championships.

Career

From 1977 to 1985 Karen Witt was nominated five times for world championships , in 1983 she came seventh in the team competition. At the Commonwealth Championships she won in 1977 in doubles with Melody Ludi and in 1985 in singles and with the team.

In 1983 she won the English National Championships in singles and doubles with Jill Hammersley . In 1978 she won the mixed title with Nigel Eckersley.

Back problems have affected her throughout her career. Therefore, she ended her career in 1986 and began training as a nurse.
