Karin Greiner (* 4. November 1967 in Bruck an der Mur ) since 2013 Member of the Austria pean National Council for the Social Democratic Party and officials of the Magistrate Graz.

education and profession

Greiner attended the Rein Gymnasium between 1978 and 1986 and passed the Matura there. From 1986 she studied interpreting for Spanish and French at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz and graduated in 1993 with the academic degree Mag. Phil. from.

Lancer was Greiner 1993-1994 as a consultant in the Security Directorate Styria worked from 1994 to 1996, she worked as a consultant in Landesschulrat Styria. In 1997 she was a lecturer in Spanish at WIFI Styria and from 1997 to 1998 she worked as a supervisor at the Landesmuseum Joanneum . In addition, in 1998 she was the exhibition supervisor in the Styrian state exhibition “YOUgend” and between 1997 and 2000 she was head of the branch of the Volkshochschule Judendorf-Straßengel / Gratkorn / Gratwein. In addition, from 1998 to 2006 she was an employee of the City Councilor or Deputy Mayor of the City of Graz Walter Ferk .

In 2006 she moved to Citycom Telekommunikation GmbH Holding Graz as an assistant to the management, in 2011 she became Key Account Manager of “City of Design” at the City of Graz. Politics and functions

In 2000, Greiner became a member of the municipal council of the market town of Judendorf-Straßengel and at the same time within the party a member of the district executive committee of the SPÖ Graz-Umgebung. She is also a member of the local executive committee of the SPÖ Judendorf-Straßengel, since 2008 deputy district chairwoman of the SPÖ Graz-Umgebung and since 2012 a member of the regional women's committee of the SPÖ Styria. Greiner is also a member of the regional board of the association of local representatives of the SPÖ Styria and has been chairwoman of Volkshilfe Graz-Umgebung since 2012 .

After Günther Kräuter was elected Ombudsman in 2013 , Greiner moved up as a member of the National Council on July 1, 2013. She was a member of the National Council until October 28, 2013 and, following the inauguration of the Federal Government, Faymann II, moved back to the National Council on December 17, 2013.
