Karin Guthke

Karin Guthke (born November 23, 1956 in Berlin , after marriage to Härtig ) is a former German diver who was third in the 1980 Olympics in artificial jumping for the GDR .

Life

Karin Guthke from TSC Berlin won the GDR championships in 1974 from the tower and took second place behind Heidi Becker from the three-meter board . At the European Championships in 1974 she took fifth place from the tower. The following year she was seventh at the World Championships. At the Olympic Games in 1976 , she could not qualify from the tower as eleventh for the finals, in artificial jumping she took fifth place. At the 1978 World Championships in West Berlin, Karin Guthke took fourth place in artificial jumping. In 1980 she won her only GDR championship in jumping. At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, all three jumpers from the GDR reached the final in artificial jumping. It won Irina Kalinina ago Martina Pröber and Karin Guthke, Martina Jäschke completed in fifth place the team performance.

After completing her sports studies, Guthke was a trainer assistant at TSC, after the fall of the Wall she moved to a social institution.
