Karin Hannappel

Karin Hannappel (born October 30, 1955 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Federal Social Court.

Career

Hannappel successfully completed her law studies in 1979 with the first state examination. In 1982 she passed the second state examination in law. Your first judgeship she appeared in the ordinary jurisdiction on its own motion - and Wuppertal Regional Court in the following year. She mainly worked in civil law. 1992 moved to administrative jurisdiction . A secondment as a research assistant to the Federal Constitutional Court , which lasted from November 1994 to July 1997, was followed by the resumption of her work at the Wiesbaden Administrative Court , which since 2000 has mainly been of a social law nature. During this phase of her professional life, from 1999 to 2006, she also held the function of a temporary assessor for administrative jurisdiction at the Hessian Service Court for Judges at the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court . In 2002 she was appointed judge at the Hessian Administrative Court. She was also the women's representative there. Since 2006 she has been practicing her judicial profession at the Hessian State Social Court . On June 29, 2010, BSG President Peter Masuch handed over the certificate of appointment as a judge at the Federal Social Court . Hannappel has been pursuing this task since July 1, 2010 in the 14th Senate, where she was concerned with basic security for job seekers . From 2018 she was also a member of the 4th Senate. Hannappel retired on August 1, 2019.
