Karin Mayer (* 1975 in Heidenheim an der Brenz ) is a former German sword fencer .
Mayer was active for the fencing department of the Heidenheimer SB . In 1990 she won bronze at the European Cadet Championships in Gouda . In 1993, as the reigning German champion, she won the European Cup for club teams in Zoetermeer with Carolin Kolb, Sabine Krapf and Heike Schönborn; The substitute fencer was Imke Duplitzer , who was 17 at the time . She achieved her greatest success in 1994 when she won the silver medal at the European Championships in Krakow and third places with the Heidenheimer SB at the German Championships.
She is currently on the board of the fencing department of the HSB.
