Karin Ott
Karin Ott , pseudonym Ruth Kaiser (born December 13, 1945 in Wädenswil near Zurich , Switzerland ) is a Swiss opera singer ( coloratura soprano ).
Life
Karin Ott emerged under her married name as a singer and scientist specializing in ornamentation ; her husband and co-author of the publications is the musicologist and director Eugen Ott. She sang Queen of the Night on Herbert von Karajan's recording of The Magic Flute in 1980, and she was also recorded as Lucia in Donizetti 's opera of the same name.
