Karin Riedrich

Karin Riedrich (born August 23, 1942 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Karin Riedrich graduated from secondary school in 1958 and completed her apprenticeship as a nurse the following year . In 1973 she completed another apprenticeship as a bank clerk and then worked at the German foreign trade bank .

In the course of the change in the GDR in 1989 Riedrich joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in January 1990 . In the first free East Berlin election in May 1990 , she was elected to the Berlin city council. Even in the joint election in December 1990 , Riedrich was able to win the direct mandate in constituency 4 in the Friedrichshain district as a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . In 1995 she left parliament.
