Karin Schabus

Karin Schabus (born October 8, 1968 in Lower Austria ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. From 2013 to 2018 she was a member of the Carinthian state parliament.

Life

Schabus attended elementary school in Kleinzell and the Bundesrealgymnasium in Lilienfeld . After graduating from the HBLA Sitzenberg , she graduated from the Vocational Education Academy in Vienna - Ober St. Veit , graduating as an agricultural teacher and consultant. Schabus runs the Seidl organic farm in Bad Kleinkirchheim with her family and offers “ farm holidays ” as a focus .

Schabus has been active as an education officer for the Carinthian Chamber of Agriculture in Bad Kleinkirchheim since 1995 and in 2005 became a member of the performance committee of the farmers' social insurance institution. She has also been a councilor of the Carinthian Chamber of Agriculture since 2005 and a councilor in Bad Kleinkirchheim since 2009. She represented the Austrian People's Party from March 28, 2013 as a member of the regional parliament in Carinthia and was a member of the committee for sustainability, nature conservation, energy, environment, climate protection and public transport as well as a member of the committee for social affairs, health, hospitals, families, generations and women .
