Karin Wahlberg

Karin Wahlberg (born October 10, 1950 ) is a Swedish doctor and writer. With her novels about the surgeon Veronika Lundborg-Westman, she is currently one of Sweden's most successful crime writers.

Wahlberg grew up in Kalmar . After completing her training, she worked as a teacher in Lund and Växjö for several years . At the age of 36, she returned to the university and began studying medicine. Since graduating, she has been working as a doctor at Lund University Hospital .

In addition to her professional activity, she successfully built a career as a writer. In 2001 she published her first detective novel, The False Trace , which immediately became a bestseller in her home country. In the meantime, her seven previously published books have also been published in German.
