Karl-Heinz Hense

Karl-Heinz Hense (born January 30, 1946 in Lingen (Ems) ) (pseudonym also: Jan Marthens) is a German writer and journalist .

Life

Hense studied philosophy and German in Münster and obtained his doctorate in 1999. phil. He worked in Oldenburg, Cologne, Brussels and Berlin. He wrote songs, novels, short stories, poetry and essays and made appearances as a musician. From 1984 to 1992 he was editor-in-chief of the magazine “ liberal - Vierteljahreshefte für Politik und Kultur”. Hense has been a permanent employee of the magazine " Mut - Forum for Culture, Politics and History " since 1994 . From 2001 to 2009, Karl-Heinz Hense was head of the area of ​​political education and the promotion of gifted students as well as the Theodor Heuss Academy (Gummersbach) at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom . Today he lives as a writer and journalist in Monschau (Eifel) and Brussels.
