Karl-Heinz Jaritz

Karl-Heinz Jaritz (born February 13, 1938 ) is a German stenographer from Mihla in Thuringia . In addition to his work as a subject teacher, he is involved in shorthand organizations. As a proven shorthand historian, he researched the life and work of Carl Friedrich August Mosengeil (inventor of the German shorthand ).

He brings the shorthand history to life in numerous lectures and essays. As a speaker he is particularly active in the Arbeitsgemeinschaft deutscher Stenographie-Systeme e. V. (ADS), in the Association of Parliament and Negotiation Stenographers e. V. and in the research and training center for shorthand and word processing in Bayreuth e. V.

In the forester's house in Zillbach near Wasungen , where Mosengeil developed the German shorthand, Jaritz set up a permanent exhibition “Mosengeil's work and the development of German shorthand in Zillbach”.

Honorary positions

  • Chairman of the Eisenach Stenographers Association.
  • At the founding meeting of the Thuringian Stenographers Association in September 1990, he was elected deputy chairman of the association.
