The district of Königinhof on the Elbe ( Czech Okresní hejtmanství Dvůr Králové nad Labem ) was a political district in the Kingdom of Bohemia . The district comprised areas in the North Bohemian region ( Královéhradecký kraj ) in Okres Náchod and in Okres Trutnov and is named after the town of Königinhof on the Elbe ( Dvůr Králové nad Labem ). The area became part of Czechoslovakia after World War I and has been part of the Czech Republic since 1993 .

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The district of Königinhof on the Elbe was formed in 1868 from the judicial districts of Königinhof on the Elbe ( Czech soudní okres Dvůr Králové nad Labem ) and Jaroměř ( Jaroměř ).

In the Koeniginhof district on the Elbe, 57,695 people lived in 1869, the district comprising an area of ​​7.0 square miles and 81 parishes.

In 1900 the district housed 64,483 people who lived in an area of ​​375.86 km² or in 86 communities.

In 1910, the Koeniginhof district on the Elbe covered an area of ​​375.86 km² and a population of 69,791 people. Of the residents, 51,260 indicated Czech and 18,017 German as their colloquial language. Furthermore, 514 people who spoke another language or who were foreign to the state lived in the district. The district included two judicial districts with a total of 86 communities and 89 cadastral communities.
