history

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The district Plan was formed in 1868 from the judicial districts Plan ( Czech soudní okres Planá ) and Bad Königswart (originally Königswart, Lázně Kynžvart ).

By 1900 the district of Plan was expanded to include the Weseritz judicial district , which had been separated from the Teplá district . On October 1, 1902, the judicial district Bad Koenigswart was separated from the district Plan, whereupon this together with the judicial district Marienbad ( Mariánské Lázně ) formed the district Marienbad .

The district of Plan lived 34,766 people in 1869, with the district encompassing an area of 8.7 square miles and 41 parishes.

In 1900 the district accommodated 33,808 people who lived in an area of 561.27 km² or in 87 communities.

In 1910 the district plan covered an area of 561.24 km² and a population of 34,285 people. In 1910, 34,092 of the inhabitants had given German and 73 Czech as their colloquial language. In addition, there were 120 people speaking other languages or foreigners living in the district. In 1910 the district consisted of two judicial districts with a total of 87 communities and 99 cadastral communities.
