Kladno district

The Kladno District ( Okresní hejtmanství Kladno in Czech ) was a political district in the Kingdom of Bohemia . The district included areas in Central Bohemia in today's Středočeský kraj ( Okres Kladno ). The seat of the district administration was the city of Kladno ( Kladno ). The area has belonged to the newly founded Czechoslovakia since 1918 and has been part of the Czech Republic since 1993 .

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The later area of ​​the Kladno District was initially part of the Smichow District in 1868 , which was formed from the judicial districts Smichow ( Czech soudní okres Smíchov ), Unhošt ( Unhošť ) and King's Hall ( Zbraslav ).

In 1877 the establishment of the Kladno judicial district was determined in the Smichow district , which was formed from seven municipalities of the Unhošt judicial district and whose establishment became officially effective on May 1, 1878.

On October 1, 1893, the judicial districts of Kladno and Unhošt were split off, which subsequently together formed the district of Kladno.

In 1900 the Kladno district accommodated 70,474 people who lived in an area of ​​286.36 km² or in 45 communities.

The district covered an area of ​​286.36 km² in 1910 and was home to a population of 80,785 people. In 1910, 79,172 of the inhabitants stated Czech and 1,412 German as their colloquial language. In addition, 201 people with other languages ​​or foreigners lived in the district. Two judicial districts with a total of 45 communities and 45 cadastral communities belonged to the district.
