The district of Kamenitz an der Linde ( Czech Okresní hejtmanství Kamenice nad Lipou ) was a political district in the Kingdom of Bohemia . The district included areas in South Bohemia in today's Kraj Vysočina ( Okres Pelhřimov ). The seat of the district administration was the town of Kamenitz an der Linde ( Kamenice nad Lipou ). The area has belonged to the newly founded Czechoslovakia since 1918 and has been part of the Czech Republic since 1993 .

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The area of ​​the later district of Kamenitz an der Linde initially belonged to the Pilgram district, which was formed in 1868 from the judicial districts of Patzau ( Czech soudní okres Pacov ), Pilgram ( Pelhřimov ), Kamenitz ( Kamenice ) and Počatek ( Počatky ).

On April 1, 1905, the Kamenitz and Počatek judicial districts were separated from the Pilgram district and merged to form the Kamenitz an der Linde district.

In the district of Kamenitz an der Linde, 35,729 people lived according to the 1900 census or the area of ​​1905, who lived in an area of ​​453.23 km² or in 57 communities.

The district covered an area of ​​453.22 km² in 1910 and was home to a population of 36,171 people. Of the inhabitants in 1910, 36,113 stated Czech and eight German as their colloquial language. There were also 50 other speakers or foreigners living in the district. Two judicial districts with a total of 60 communities and 71 cadastral communities belonged to the district.
