Moldauthein district

The Moldauthein District ( Czech Okresní hejtmanství Týn nad Vltavou ) was a political district in the Kingdom of Bohemia . The district comprised areas in South Bohemia in today's Jihočeský kraj ( Okres České Budějovice ). The area has belonged to the newly founded Czechoslovakia since 1918 and has been part of the Czech Republic since 1993 .

history

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The Moldauthein district was formed in 1868 from the Moldauthein judicial district ( Czech soudní okres Týn nad Vltavou ).

The district was home to 16,780 people in 1869, with the district covering an area of ​​3.6 square miles and 20 parishes.

In 1900 the district accommodated 17,341 people who lived in an area of ​​254.64 km² or in 37 communities.

The Moldauthein district covered an area of ​​254.64 km² in 1910 and housed a population of 17,008 people. Of the inhabitants in 1910, 16,990 stated Czech and six German as their colloquial language. There were also 12 foreign speakers or foreigners living in the district. A judicial district with a total of 38 communities or 39 cadastral communities belonged to the district.
