Neuhaus district
The Neuhaus District ( Czech Okresní hejtmanství Jindřichův Hradec ) was a political district in the Kingdom of Bohemia . The district included areas in the South Bohemian Region ( Okres Jindřichův Hradec ). The seat of the district administration was the town of Neuhaus ( Jindřichův Hradec ). The area has belonged to the newly founded Czechoslovakia since 1918 and has been part of the Czech Republic since 1993 .

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.
The area of the district of Neuhaus was formed in 1868 from the judicial districts of Neubistritz ( Czech Nová Bystřice ) and Neuhaus ( Jindřichův Hradec ).
The Neuhaus district lived 55,260 people in 1869, with the district encompassing an area of 12.2 square miles and 75 parishes.
In 1900 the district accommodated 53,094 people who lived in an area of 711.27 km² or in 88 communities.
In 1910 the Neuhaus district covered an area of 711.26 km² and a population of 52,409 people. In 1910, 22,293 of the inhabitants indicated German as their colloquial language, 30,017 were Czech-speaking and 99 were foreign or foreign. The judicial district of Neubistritz was almost exclusively inhabited by German speakers. The district included two judicial districts with a total of 90 communities and 107 cadastral communities.
