Blatna district

The Blatna District ( Okresní hejtmanství Blatná in Czech ) was a political district in the Kingdom of Bohemia . The district included areas in the South Bohemian and Central Bohemian Region or in today's Okres Příbram or Okres Strakonice . The seat of the district administration was the town of Blatna (Blatná). The area has belonged to the newly founded Czechoslovakia since 1918 and has been part of the Czech Republic since 1993 .

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The Blatna district was formed in 1868 from the judicial districts Blatna ( Czech soudní okres Blatná ) and Březnitz (Březnice).

The Blatna district lived 50,960 people in 1869, the district comprising an area of ​​11.8 square miles and 67 parishes.

In 1900 the district accommodated 48,411 people who lived in an area of ​​680.73 km² or in 105 communities.

In 1910, the Blatna district covered an area of ​​680.72 km² and had a population of 47,563 people. In 1910, only 12 of the inhabitants stated German and 47,523 Czech as their colloquial language. In addition, there were 28 foreign speakers or foreigners living in the district. Two judicial districts with a total of 106 communities and 115 cadastral communities belonged to the district.
