Chrudim district

The Chrudim District ( Czech : Okresní hejtmanství Chrudim ) was a political district in the Kingdom of Bohemia . The district covered areas in Central Bohemia in today's Kraj Vysočina , ( Okres Havlíčkův Brod or Okres Žďár nad Sázavou ). The seat of the district administration was the city of Chrudim (Chrudim). The area has belonged to the newly founded Czechoslovakia since 1918 and has been part of the Czech Republic since 1993 .

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The Chrudim district was formed in 1868 from the judicial districts Chrudim (Czech: soudní okres Chrudim ), Hlinsko (Hlinsko) and Nassaberg (Nasevrky).

In 1869, the Chrudim district lived 81,261 people, with the district covering an area of ​​12.2 square miles and 88 parishes.

In 1900 the district accommodated 89,775 people who lived in an area of ​​706.30 km² or in 102 communities.

The Chrudim district covered an area of ​​706.25 km² in 1910 and a population of 93,938 people. In 1910, 98,688 of the inhabitants indicated Czech and 103 German as their colloquial language. In addition, 147 foreign speakers or foreigners lived in the district. The district included three judicial districts with a total of 110 communities and 148 cadastral communities.
