Kralowitz district

The Kralowitz District ( Czech : Okresní hejtmanství Kralovice ) was a political district in the Kingdom of Bohemia . The district comprised areas in the West Bohemian region Plzeňský kraj in the Okres Plzeň-sever . The area has belonged to the newly founded Czechoslovakia since 1918 and has been part of the Czech Republic since 1993 .

history

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The district of Kralowitz was formed in 1868 from the judicial districts of Kralowitz (Czech: soudní okres Kralovice ) and Manetin ( Manětin ).

The Kralowitz District lived 34,772 people in 1869, with the district encompassing an area of ​​11.4 square miles and 64 parishes.

In 1900 the district housed 34,513 people who lived in an area of ​​67.86 km² or in 90 communities.

The Kralowitz district covered in 1910 an area of ​​657.84 km² and a population of 35,242 people. Of the inhabitants, 29,015 stated Czech and 6,178 German as their colloquial language. Furthermore, 49 foreign speakers or foreigners lived in the district. The district included two judicial districts with a total of 91 communities and 112 cadastral communities.
