Laura Giuliani (born June 5, 1993 in Milan ) is an Italian soccer goalkeeper .

Life

Giuliani was born in Milan and has a German grandmother on his mother's side.

Giuliani started her career with SS La Benvenuta Calcio Femminile. After a season in Primavera, she moved to Serie A2 for FCF Como 2000 ASD for the 2009/2010 season . On September 21, 2012, she left Italy and moved to the German Bundesliga promoted FSV Gütersloh in 2009 . On November 14, 2012, she made her Bundesliga debut against VfL Wolfsburg , but had to go ten times behind her in this game in the 10-0 defeat. After Gütersloh's relegation from the Bundesliga, she moved to Herford SV in the 2nd Bundesliga North. With this she rose to the Bundesliga in the summer of 2014, but only had to return to the second division a year later.

She then signed a two-year contract with Bundesliga promoted 1. FC Köln for the 2015/16 season . After the relegation of FC in summer 2016, Giuliani moved to SC Freiburg . After one season she left SC Freiburg and negotiated with several teams. She has been under contract with the women's football department at Juventus Turin since 2017 .

National team

Giuliani made her debut for the Italian national soccer team in 2014. Before that, she was part of the squad of the U-20 national soccer team at the 2012 U-20 World Cup . Their very first international assignment took place on the occasion of the 2011 U-19 European Football Championship for women .

In 2017 she took part for Italy in the 2017 European Women's Football Championship in the Netherlands. At the 2019 Women's World Cup in France, where Italy reached the quarter-finals, Giuliani was in goal in all five matches. In 2020 she was part of the Italian selection at the Algarve Cup .
