The district of Kuttenberg ( Czech Okresní hejtmanství Kutná Hora ) was a political district in the Kingdom of Bohemia . The district included areas in Central Bohemia in today's Středočeský kraj ( Okres Kutná Hora ). Seat of the district administration was the city of Kutna Hora ( Kutna Hora ). The area has belonged to the newly founded Czechoslovakia since 1918 and has been part of the Czech Republic since 1993 .

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The district Kuttenberg was formed in 1868 from the judicial districts Kohljanowitz ( Czech soudní okres Uhlířské Janovice ) and Kuttenberg ( Kutná Hora ).

The Kuttenberg district lived 62,934 people in 1869, with the district encompassing an area of ​​9.5 square miles and 98 parishes.

In 1900 the district was home to 65,544 people who lived on an area of ​​550.86 km² or in 104 communities.

In 1910 the Kuttenberg district covered an area of ​​550.84 km² and housed a population of 64,037 people. In 1910, 63,709 of the inhabitants indicated Czech and 205 German as their colloquial language. In addition, 123 people who speak other languages ​​or who are foreign to the state lived in the district. The district included two judicial districts with a total of 104 communities and 118 cadastral communities.
