Karl-Heinz Ziegler

Karl-Heinz Ziegler (born March 12, 1934 in Leipzig ) is a German legal scholar.

Ziegler studied law at the universities of Frankfurt and Munich . After receiving his doctorate in Frankfurt in 1963, he initially worked as a research assistant . In 1970 he completed his habilitation in Frankfurt with the venia legendi for Roman law , civil law and the history of international law . From 1971 until his retirement, Ziegler held the chair for Roman law and civil law at the University of Hamburg .
