Karl-Walter Fritz

Karl-Walter Fritz (born December 27, 1931 in Wiesbaden ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Fritz was born the son of a chief forester. After completing primary school and attending secondary school and commercial college, he completed an apprenticeship as an insurance salesman and then worked in this profession. He was employed in the head office of Deutsche Beamten-Versicherungs-AG (DBV) and later worked as an authorized signatory at DBV Versicherungen and Commerzbank AG . From 1965 to 1985 he was a member of the supervisory board of DBV.

Political party

Fritz joined the SPD in 1953 and was elected deputy chairman of the SPD local branch in Wiesbaden in 1958. From 1962 to 1969 he was chairman of the local association and the subdistrict of the SPD Wiesbaden.

MP

Fritz was a council member of the city of Wiesbaden from 1960 to 1964. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1965 to 1969. In parliament he represented the constituency of Wiesbaden .

Public offices

From 1964 to 1966, Fritz was an honorary city councilor and a member of the municipal authorities of Wiesbaden.
