Karl Bapp

Karl Albert Bapp (born March 7, 1863 in Ochtum ; † January 18, 1940 in Oldenburg ) was a German high school teacher and classical philologist .

Karl Bapp attended the Grand Ducal High School in Oldenburg and, after graduating from high school, studied Classical Philology at the University of Leipzig from 1881 , where he received his doctorate in 1885. In the same year he began teaching Greek, Latin and German as a teacher at the Grand Ducal High School in Oldenburg, where he rose to the rank of high school professor.

In addition to his school service, he also continued to work scientifically, published a treatise on Prometheus , articles in the detailed lexicon of Greek and Roman mythology, and studies on Goethe and ancient studies.
