Karl Clausberg

Karl Clausberg (* 1938 in Eisenach ) is a German art historian. He was a professor for art and image studies at the University of Lüneburg .

Life

He attended the Johanneum in Hamburg and studied engineering . Then he went to sea. He then studied art history in Hamburg, London, and Vienna, where he received his doctorate in 1974 . He was a visiting student at the Warburg Institute and from 2004 a fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin .
