Karl Dornhecker

Karl Dornhecker (born April 7, 1928 ) is a former German soccer player .

Dornhecker won the league class III cup with FC Prien in 1946. In 1950 he succeeded with his club, which in the meantime had rejoined TuS Prien as a football department, the A-class championship and thus promotion to the 2nd amateur league. Dornhecker came to VfB Stuttgart from 1. FC Traunstein in 1955 . He completed all 60 major league games for VfB Stuttgart in the Oberliga Süd from 1955 to 1957, in which he scored four goals. He was also in six games in the final round of the German championship for the Stuttgart in use. On the first day of the round 1955/56, the right wing runner made his debut in the 7-0 home win against SpVgg Fürth in the southern league. At the end of the round he was able to celebrate the runner- up with coach Georg Wurzer and his VfB team-mates and thus made it to the finals. With the standard runner series Dornhecker, Robert Schlienz and Wolfgang Simon , VfB finished third in the group games against Borussia Dortmund, Hamburger SV and Viktoria 1889 Berlin. In the second VfB year, 1956/57, the ex-Bavarian was again in 30 league games and scored four goals, but finished fourth with the Red-Whites. In 1957/58 he played one season for TSV 1860 Munich for which he only played four league games before moving to TSG Ulm 1846 in 1958 . The 30-year-old made a good debut with the promoted team on the first match day of the 1958/59 round, the "Spatzen" surprisingly won 3-2 goals at his ex-club VfB Stuttgart at the start. At the side of the teammates Manfred Paul and Siegfried Kronenbitter , Dornhecker completed 27 other league games and scored two goals for Ulm, who managed to keep their league with 13th place. He played his last league game on April 24, 1960 in the 3-0 away defeat at VfR Mannheim. In total, he came from 1955 to 1960 to 99 league games in the south and scored six goals.
